New paper alert! Topical diclofenac effects on synovitis
Excited to see our latest research paper on the effects of topical diclofenac in hand osteoarthritis published in the Journal of Pain Research!
In this exploratory pilot study, we investigated how topical diclofenac impacts synovitis, a common feature of osteoarthritis, using Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography, and Fluorescent Optical Imaging. Our analysis revealed a reduction in synovitis after 14 days of topical diclofenac use, particularly in the most affected joints. This was also accompanied by a reduction inĀ self-reported levels of pain throughout the study.
