Invited to Speak at the European Parliament: Advancing Europe’s Nutrition Agenda

It was a privilege to be invited to speak yesterday at the European Parliament. I am very grateful to Kristian Vigenin MEP for hosting us and to the representatives from the European Commission for a constructive and forward‑looking discussion 🤝

Across Europe, micronutrient gaps are still common. They quietly undermine health resilience and add pressure to already overburdened health systems.

The good news is that this is a solvable problem: we know where the gaps are, who is most affected, and which tools we have – from better food environments and guidance to well‑regulated food supplements when diet alone is not enough 💊

If EU policy embraces this opportunity, we can move beyond hypothetical risks and start using the tools we already have to prevent avoidable problems, strengthen resilience, and get more health value out of every euro we spend.

Thank you to Food Supplements Europe – FSE for organizing and coordinating this event!
